Kumami in Berlin

Amazing experience! Tiny place, cozy atmosphere and very fancy food. Not everything was for my taste, but still extremely interesting and delicious.

Highly recommended, high quality, loving cuisine. All courses freshly prepared. Quiet atmosphere, very nice service. Highly priced - it's worth it! All in all well worth a visit.

If there were 6 star, Kumami deserves it. We dined here several times, but the food, the atmosphere and service never disappoint us. It is essence of Japanese food (but not sushi or tempura). Chef loves his food and his interest in food is amazing. He grows it's own vege using its own compost and and hard to explain but small care to each dish becomes it's taste. I have never thought of tasting Japan's gastronomy outside of Japan but he does. And it is amazing his real occupation is not a chef (but architect). I guess creating food is same as creating atmosphere. Good details come into great result. Currently only opens Fri & Sat evening but it is spacy enough and recommend to quiet and long evening seekers (even group of people) !

Actually, one should include a review in this way: It should remain an insider tip! Sensational gastronomy! It was a true experience! We were there with good friends and have excellent food. Excellent cuisine with exceptional wine list. Great compliment and absolute recommendation.

Small place with only 6/8 seats available per serving. We were the only 2 when we went there so it was definitely a very relaxing dinner. The food is really good with some of the dishes being tastier than others and I would recommend to try the homemade drinks that are available.

What a gem. Worth down the trip To Köpenick. I had nine courses of wonderfully prepared dishes, "Washoku" style. A truly unique experience!

Really great and fantastic place to go with family and friends. Ambience was fantastic and really beautiful. Food was really awesome and delicious. True authentic Japanese food. It was little far to go there but it was worth. Service was excellent and staff was very polite and professional. I would love to visit again.

TASTE, as a word for this experience sounds too rough! A discreet couple may fulfill their dream here. Between 5th and 6th I was caught for a moment by her gaze. He swirled lovingly through the line of her guests and studied, barely noticeable, our expression. Sensitive chewing, heavy breath and lowered eyelids .. Japanese HighClassGastronomy. Yes, I was full! Yes, I have paid a fortune and have never, never so good, eaten so much. Almost every bite in me was a little afraid of salty transience. I'll think about it for days. I also love cooking and presentations. The location is great and I think it would be a great day out for a small trip. Mr. Kumami was the first in Berlin to have an exciting meal.

A very nice, small restaurant, which offers an absolute taste experience. The individual courses of the menu are perfectly coordinated. Very fresh goods and good wines let you enjoy the evening. The service is very nice and attentive.

It's so amazing I can't think Berlin Japanese Restaurant! You can enjoy another world feeling. There are many good whiskeys.

An absolute insider tip for all gourmets from the area. A reservation is mandatory here. After going through the small anteroom, take a seat at the long bar and let yourself be enchanted by the waiter and the multi-course menu from the small kitchen for 2-3 hours. Absolutely awesome!

It was one of the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. The servant is very friendly and speaks quietly. I was very impressed by the kitchen because it is the finest I know.

I can hardly remember the last time I ate and drank so well. Even the guest room with subtle piano music set the mood for a feel-good evening. The menu was just a dream of Japanese lightness and a festival of flavors. I can fully recommend the Kumami to everyone!

A fantastic night at Kumami. We drove 1hr to get there and were rewarded with beautifully designed authentic Japanese cuisine! A stunning decor and beautiful atmosphere. Unique for Berlin and highly recommended! Can't praise it enough maybe because we miss The food of Japan which seems hard to find in Berlin. Glad we made the trip!

Charming hosts, gorgeous locality. The kitchen is interesting, but could be more determined and consistent. After all, we guests are making a long trip to Köpenick :-) - most of the dishes, however, suit our German palates too well. Still a nice evening, recommended!

Highly recommended! Minimalist design and ambience meets Japanese fine cuisine. The ingredients for the dishes are impeccable and very well prepared. An absolute recommendation in terms of taste. The two owners are very friendly and accommodating. It was definitely not the last time I was there. There were six of us and everyone enjoyed it more than just. 1A!
